Apple stopped signing iOS 8.4.1, to return to iOS 8 can no longer

Along with the release of iOS 9.0.2 Apple stopped issuing digital certificates to iOS iOS 8.4.1 and 9.0. Now users no possibility to downgrade to the previous version of the operating system.

Released on September 16, the iOS 9 software is a major release with a large list of changes and improvements. Nevertheless, many iPhone and iPad owners reported problems in the operation of the devices. Failures began at the stage of downloading the update when people could not get the promised distribution due to the unavailability of Apple services.

Owners of iOS devices complain about the incorrect work of Wi-Fi, the missing menu items in settings, graphical artifacts in the output interface, the hang of the operating system. Among the innovations in iOS 9 — improved algorithms of power consumption, however the gadgets battery loses charge too rapidly. Subsequent updates iOS 9 will fix these issues but now users have no option to roll back to a stable iOS 8 no longer.

Now Apple does not sign iOS 8.4.1 for any compatible devices. This means that the owners of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch can’t do a rollback or update from earlier versions. In other words, there is no possibility to install the device on a non-iOS 9.0.2/9.0.1. This is stated in the Twitter TSS Signing Status, which the author warned that after the upgrade, the majority will not be able to downgrade and repeat the jailbreak procedure.

Relevant at the moment is the iOS version 9.0.2. Second technical update iOS 9 to fix bugs and improve stability. The update improved the performance of mobile applications, which provides connectivity to the Internet. In addition, the developers have enhanced the stability of the standard application “Podcasts”.

The next major release of Apple iOS 9.1. Currently the company is testing the update to developers and participants of the program testing.
