Apple releases OS X El Capitan 8 beta for developers and sixth beta for participants in the test program

Apple distributed the eighth developer build of OS X 10.11 El Capitan, and is the sixth build for participants in the test program. Updates are distributed via the company’s official website, and at Mac installed a beta version of a new software platform.

It’s been two weeks since the release of the previous developer builds of OS X El Capitan. Room today’s update – 15A279b. Eighth beta version of OS X 10.11 does not contain any visible innovation: Apple continues to optimize the performance of internal services and to eliminate possible errors.

At the same time became available update OS X El Capitan public beta 6, which can install all participants in the test program. Release the first public beta, we recall, took place in early July. The previous build was released simultaneously with OS X El Capitan beta 7 for developers. Changes in the new release correspond to changes in the current development build.

OS X 10.11 was named in honor of one of the largest mountain peaks “El Capitan” in Yosemite national Park. OS Apple has focused on improving stability and performance, user interface platform remained unchanged.

One of the main innovations of OS X El Capitan was the empowerment of Spotlight search. He will support the processing of search queries in natural language. In addition, the developers added support for new gestures for the touchpad. For example, in mail Mail swipe with two fingers on the touchpad, you can delete or mark emails in your Inbox. Apple promised that OS X El Capitan will allow 1.4 times faster to launch apps, 2 times faster to switch between them, and 4 times faster to open PDF files.

OS X El Capitan presents beta 8 in the developer portal of Apple. Download the update section of the settings directory, Mac App Store. To be able to download a public beta of OS X El Capitan, just go through a short registration on the website of the company. The release of the final version of OS X 10.11 is expected in October. September 9, Apple will release the GM version of OS X El Capitan.
