Apple releases iTunes 12.3 with support for iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan

Simultaneously with iOS 9, Apple has released an update for iTunes 12.3 designed for Windows and Mac. A new version of the media player includes a number of changes aimed at compatibility with the new mobile OS and a desktop platform OS X El Capitan.

The iTunes release 12.3 took place on Wednesday, after the release of iOS 9. Update for smart-watches watchOS 2, which Apple also promised to release on 16 September, has been delayed due to a detected at the last moment errors.

In the new edition of iTunes improved VoiceOver support and fixed some bugs. Apple has also added support for two-factor authentication to better protect their accounts.

In this update of iTunes added support for iOS 9 and it is designed for users of OS X El Capitan. This update also contains the following fixes:

  • Improved support for universal access in the Apple Music with VoiceOver.
  • Fixed bug where it was impossible to change the order of songs in the up Next list.
  • Fixed bug where some radio stations do not appear in the recently played list.
  • Resolved issue where favorite songs on iOS does not appear as a favorite on iTunes.
  • Added support for two-factor authentication to better protect accounts Apple ID.
