Apple releases fifth public beta of OS X El Capitan [updated]

Apple has extended the fifth build of the OS X operating system El Capitan, available to users of the AppleSeed program. The Assembly can be installed on computers with OS X 10.11.

Last year, Apple first announced the OS X Beta Seed Program, in which anyone who wants an opportunity to participate in the beta testing OS X Yosemite. This is done in order to continue to provide feedback, which in turn will help make OS X better, will be held before the final release of the OS.

Release the first public beta of OS X El Capitan took place in early July. Two weeks later users became available the second build with bug fixes. Fifth public beta debuted after OS X El Capitan beta 6 for developers. Changes correspond to changes in the latest developer build. It does not contain any visible innovation: Apple continues to optimize the performance of internal services and free of errors.

OS X El Capitan was officially presented in June at WWDC 2015. In OS increased the performance of some applications and processes, a new system font, the deeper integration of the Spotlight, improved browser and added the ability to use full screen two apps in Split View. Apple promises that the OS will allow 1.4 times faster to launch apps, 2 times faster to switch between them, and 4 times faster to open PDF files.

To be able to download a public beta of OS X El Capitan, just go through a short registration on the website of the company. More information can be found here. The release of the final version of OS X 10.11 will be held in the fall.

Update 1: one hour after the release, Apple pulled the update for unknown reasons.
