Apple released the new Apple TV ads with Kobe Bryant [video]

Apple TV 4 got some serious improvements compared to previous generation devices. In the fourth version it is not just an adapter between library, computer or iPhone and large screen TV. It is a full multimedia center that provides access to thousands of movies, millions of songs and tons of games and apps.

On Monday, Apple launched a new promotional video, which drew attention to the possibility of a new Apple TV. The ad starred basketball player “Los Angeles Lakers” Kobe Bryant and actor Michael B. Jordan, demonstrates the voice assistant Siri.

The plot of the video “Father Time” basketball player and actor, discuss the shooting of the biopic Bryant. To inspire Jordan, the athlete shows him sporting matches with their participation. However, Jordan has some ideas and he wants to go to the movie “the curious case of Benjamin Button”. As a result they conflict with each other and chase Bryant actor.

The video shows that using Siri, the user can view video and control playback. In particular, Bryant said, “Siri, launch the app NBA” and”Siri, fast forward an hour and a half”.

“The new Apple TV. Siri and apps allow than ever to find content and get pleasure from what you’re looking for.”

Voice control using Siri is a key feature of the new Apple TV. At this point assistant are available in eight countries: Australia, Canada, great Britain, Japan, Germany, France, USA, Spain. Siri for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch works in 30 countries, so while it is not clear why Apple has provided a few select countries for the Apple TV.

Apple is actively working on expanding the capabilities of Siri, so Apple TV owners in Russia and other countries will get a voice assistant in the near future.
