Apple released a new version of iMovie for iOS with support for 4K video and 3D Touch

Apple has released an update to iMovie video editor, which adds extended support for iOS 9 and new gadgets company. In particular, owners of iPad Pro, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus now can work with video in ultra-high resolution and to use the Force Touch display. The update is available free for all users of iMovie.

iMovie has been redesigned, making it even easier to browse the library of videos and work in the modes of multitasking Slide Over and Split View. Updated audiorouter allows you to easily search and listen to music, and updated the information panel project – view movies and trailers without opening them.

Apple say that the package iMovie for iOS brings to the iPhone and iPad video editing capabilities of desktop computers: a few taps, you can split the screen to include the effect of “picture in picture” or go to advanced editing sound. And with iMovie Theater, you can show videos, movies and trailers on all your Apple devices, including Apple TV.

What’s new in iMovie 2.2 for iOS:

  • Create and export movies with stunning 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) on your compatible iOS device.
  • Create and export movies in 1080p HD with 60 frames per second for smoother and realistic image of movements.
  • The use of Force Touch on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to quickly launch new film directly from the Home screen.
  • The performance of the computer on the iPad Pro with the ability to edit multiple streams of 4K video, as well as by using combinations of keys on the keyboard to Smart Keyboard.
  • Improved interface for the iPad Pro with media browser full-size and pixel-by-pixel HD 1080p video.
  • The ability to connect the keyboard to quickly edit movies using keyboard shortcuts.
  • Added option to hide the media browser while editing the film.
  • Added an option to disable the Ken Burns effect to photos.
  • The updated panel information about the project you can now view movies and trailers without opening them.
  • Updated view videos in the media Library for easy search photos and videos on the iPad.
  • Improved Inspector tools with clear inscriptions on the iPad.
  • Supports Slide Over and Split View to perform multiple tasks at the same time using the iMovie extension for the Photos app
  • Redesigned audiorouter in the iMovie extension allows you to easily search and listen to music.
  • Improvements that improve the performance and stability of the program.
  • Support for French (Canada), Hindi, and traditional Chinese (Hong Kong)
