Apple will no longer carry out the annual music festival Apple Music Festival. About it reports the edition of the Music Business World.
Initially, the festival was called the iTunes Festival. Apple walked with him every September, starting in 2007, collecting at one stage a popular and aspiring musicians. Initially iTunes Festival lasted for a month and went to the scene of one artist each night. Two years ago it was renamed Apple Music Festival and reduced the duration to 10 days. At each concert performed by several artists. As a platform for Apple Music Festival used concert hall The Roundhouse in London.
In the past year, marking the anniversary festival, Apple called to speak the Coldplay, Elton John, Kendrick Lamar and other stars of world scale. All performances were available for free streaming via iTunes and Apple Music.
However, the closing of the festival doesn’t mean that Apple refuses to support live performances of the artists. Probably the company decided to focus on solo concerts. For example, Apple Music recently demonstrated the trio Haim and the rock band Arcade Fire.
