Apple is working with LG on a new generation of 3D cameras for iPhone 8

Apple is together with LG is developing a new generation of 3D cameras for mobile devices with iOS. On Thursday reported the newspaper the Korea Economic Daily, citing informed sources.

It is noted that the companies are developing a camera module that supports 3D shooting. Dual camera LG Innotek is likely to be used in new Apple products.

According to preliminary data, Apple is developing a camera system, operating on the principle of the human eye – catching depth and track movement in the frame. The technology can be implemented in the iPhone 8, the presentation of which will take place in 2017.

3D camera in a future iPhone will be used for photos and video. While Apple has been exploring the possibility of introducing a specialized processor a three-dimensional image recognition technology spatial parameters, gestures and movements.

New camera in iPhone 8 can also be implemented for system identification and scanning of physical objects, for example to create digital three-dimensional versions.

In 2017 Apple will unveil a completely redesigned iPhone. Sources have reported serious changes in the form factor of a smartphone, glass body, OLED display, remove the Home button in favor of touch control of the Touch Force, as well as wireless charging. The company itself, as usual, did not comment on such rumors.
