Apple is working on interchangeable AirPods with biometric sensors

AirPods are the best wireless headphones in its class, but Apple has not updated the device for more than two years. In a new patent application, which was approved today, December 5, describes the next generation of headset from the iPhone maker.
According to the data, described in the patent application “universal” AirPods will use the built-in biometric sensors to track health status and to determine what the ear is inserted earphone.
As noted by the portal 9to5Mac, the next generation of Bluetooth headphones Apple to get a symmetrical structure, whereby any of them can be inserted as in the left and right ear of the user. The patent also States that “in-ear headphones will be equipped with sensors and circuits configured to determine and change the headphones work, in accordance with the ear in which they are inserted”.

Of course, the implementation of the technology described in this patent may take years, but Apple has been working very hard over the AirPods next generation, because these wireless headphones are the biggest selling product of the company.
