Apple is working on a new display technology, which determines the pressure force on the screen, with the aim to transfer functional 3D Touch gestures on the iPad platform. Now 3D Touch works only on the iPhone 6s and not available on tablets because of the size of the screen.

However, its development has not yet completed, so the 3D Touch doesn’t appear in the iPad Air third generation. Expect a tablet with the touch sensitivity of the displays is not until 2016.
