Apple is expanding its Apple SIM

Apple together with Japanese mobile operator KDDI announced the opportunity to work with the Apple SIM technology in the country. Function virtual the SIM cards that allows iPad users to choose operators, thereby saving frequent trips.

Thanks to the signed partnership agreement with KDDI Apple, now residents of rising sun got the opportunity to buy an iPad pre-loaded with Apple SIM. Owners of tablets from Apple SIM can easily use data services when travelling abroad.

With GigSky the list of regions where Apple SIM is supported includes more than 90 Nations. With devices that support the technology are sold in retail stores only 13 countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and USA.

The fact that Apple is developing this project only on the iPad and not the more important market for iPhone, speaks about her care. On the one hand it may seem that operators should resist such initiatives by all means. However, if we talk about tablets, the operators practically not possible to force users to connect to their cellular networks, so they have nothing to lose.
