Apple invests in future technology

Apple has increased funding for the Department of research and development. For new projects that focus on driverless cars and augmented reality, the company has spent three billion euros for the quarter.
In the third quarter of this year, Apple has invested in the creation of new technologies 6.5% of revenue from sales. One of the main areas of investment was augmented reality, which Tim cook in February called no less important project than the work on the smartphones. This year focused on the framework to create applications with augmented reality ARKit, and work with the augmented reality glasses, which the company received a patent.
Another priority for Apple — the creation of unmanned vehicles. The first project reports contained information about what the company will provide a complete solution, i.e. will create the car itself, software and necessary services. But then Apple decided to focus only on. In April, California license was obtained for testing the three machines with a new model of governance.
In addition to the classic investment in iPhone, iPad and Mac, Apple invests money in the development of wearable devices, analyzing the success of smart watches and fitness trackers among users.
