Apple increased the limit of application testers in TestFlight to 2000

In early 2014 Apple has swallowed the popular service for testing mobile applications TestFlight. Autumn in the framework of the presentation of iOS 8, the company introduced new tools for developers based on TestFlight: the ability to add apps at an early stage of writing software and provide access to trusted users. Now Apple has increased the limit of invitations to 2,000 testers.

Service TestFlight is available for free. It allows you to accept applications for participation in the testing of mobile games and apps, install and update test version. Utility automatically sends push notifications when new beta versions.

Now by sending out invitations and providing access to pre-release versions of the software, developers can transfer their application to the testing of 2,000 users. The previous limit was $ 1,000, and the test lasted up to 30 days. For many programmers this was not enough, so Apple increased this period to 60 days.

Such testing is external, and in addition to it developers will have access to internal testing, in which they will be able to provide access to the application to members of your own team. In this case, the maximum number of testers is 25, each of which can test the program on ten devices.

It is noteworthy that soon after the purchase by Apple TestFlight service, it stopped working with the Android operating system. About support for mobile platforms Google platform was announced in 2013 and after a short period of closed beta testing opened it to developers. Termination of work with Android, as expected, was one of the conditions of purchase of Apple.
