The previous limit was $ 1,000, and the test lasted up to 30 days. For many programmers this was not enough, so Apple increased this period to 60 days.
Such testing is external, and in addition to it developers will have access to internal testing, in which they will be able to provide access to the application to members of your own team. In this case, the maximum number of testers is 25, each of which can test the program on ten devices.

About support for mobile platforms Google platform was announced in 2013 and after a short period of closed beta testing opened it to developers.
