Apple has returned to iOS 9 feature, but refused it in iOS 5

Apple exploring the desires and needs of users of iOS devices: the obvious example is the new “new” gesture in the standard Photos app in iOS 9. Now in the selection mode photos the user can easily select multiple pictures at the same time.

Now, in order to select a group of photos in the Photos app simply swipe the images.

Interesting is the fact that this gesture was present in the first versions of iOS. When Apple removed it, many users cried out to the company with a request to return it. Five years later, prayers were answered. Evil tongues say that Apple returned the gesture after he released the Google Photos app that supports this gesture.

To select multiple photos in iOS 9:

Step 1: Open the Photos app.

Step 2: Tap the word “Select” in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Tap the photo, then swipe your finger across the pictures you want to select.

In the same way you can deselect photos. You can also select photos to rows by swiping your finger from top to bottom.

Of course, we welcome the return of this feature in the Photos app. This means that there is no more need to jailbreak for tweaks like Photo Organizer that allows you to quickly select a large number of photos.
