Apple has officially launched Apple Pay in France and Hong Kong

Apple has officially announced the launch of its Apple Pay service in France and Hong Kong, where he supported credit and debit cards Visa, Master Card and American Express.

According to sources, Apple negotiations in new areas were not quite as smooth. The problem arose around the fee that Apple will get with each transaction. Banks are trying to enter into a contract on the same terms as in China, where Apple had agreed to reduce its stake by half. What conditions in the end a deal was made was not disclosed.

The first with Apple Pay in France will be able to pay the holders of Bank cards Visa and MasterCard, customers of Banque Populaire, Ticket Restaurant, Carrefour Banque and Caisse d’epargne. You can pay in many retail outlets across the country, including in networks of Dior, Louis Vuitton, Fnac, Sephora, Flunch, Parkeon, Pret etc.

In Hong Kong, payment service, Apple may use the cardholders Visa, MasterCard and American Express issued by Bank of China, DBS Bank, HSBC, Standard Chartered and Hang Seng Bank.

As of today, Apple Pay is available in USA, UK, China, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Singapore and France. Payment service available to iPhone SE iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch, iPad mini 4, iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro.

Informed sources close to the banking sector in Russia reported on the preparation for launching Apple Pay in our country. It is expected that the payment service will be launched on the iPhone, and “smart” watches Apple Watch in Russia since the end of 2016. Now the company is in talks on cooperation with Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, Raiffeisenbank, Binbank, VTB 24 and Tinkoff Bank.
