Apple increased the allowable size of apps for the platform tvOS up to 4GB – for the first time since the launch of online store for Apple TV. This is stated on the official website for developers.
“The maximum size of the application assemblies for tvOS increased from 200 MB to 4 GB, so you can now include in their development of more multimedia materials, thus ensuring a more complete and rich user experience. In addition, applications for tvOS can now optionally load the resources up to 20 GB,” – said in the Apple.
The change will not affect most ordinary applications, however, game creators it will open up more opportunities for the introduction of more advanced graphics and sound design.
