Apple, Google and Facebook are preparing an open letter to Trump demanding to remove immigration ban

The largest American IT companies, including Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Google and Amazon are preparing an open letter in connection with the decision of the President of the United States Donald trump on the introduction of migration restrictions. This was reported by Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the situation.
January 27, trump signed a decree on the suspension of the programme of reception for 120 days, including the Syrian — for an indefinite period. The decree also stipulates the prohibition of entry into the U.S. citizens of the seven predominantly Muslim countries (Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan) at 90 days with the possibility of extension. The list can be expanded.
On the preparation of an open letter to Trump work as a financial, industrial, energy companies and those who deal with consumer goods. The letter is scheduled for publication this week, but haven’t decided yet who exactly will sign it.
“We share your desire to ensure that our immigration system to modern security needs and safeguard the welfare of the country. We are concerned, however, that your recent presidential decree will affect many landlords and [American] visas who are working here in the US, for the good of the country”, – quotes the draft of the letter to Bloomberg.
In the preliminary version of the document also States that “the compassion of our nation – is part of what makes us special.” The authors offer their help in the adjustment of the decree and support to address the issue about 750 000 illegal immigrants who came to the USA in childhood.
Previously, Apple CEO Tim cook said that trump signed a decree affecting hundreds of employees. The CEO said that continued contact with “very influential people in the White house”, hoping to convince them of the importance of the abolition of migration restrictions not only for Apple but for the whole country.
“More than any other country in the world, the United States is strong because of immigrants, but also our ability to accept people of any origin. That’s what makes our country special,” said cook, noting that since the signing of the decree trump he has received numerous emails from Apple employees with “heartbreaking” stories about how immigration restrictions affected their families.
Apple itself appeared due to the fact that the United States welcomed immigrants. The company founded by Steve jobs, son of a Syrian immigrant who came to the U.S. to study in 1952.
Meanwhile, in the trump administration noted that the President signed a decree intended to protect US from terrorism, and has wide support in society.
