Apple, Facebook and Google to discuss the protection of personal data

According to the site Axios, several major American corporations will meet in San Francisco to discuss the security of personal data of users.

In the forthcoming meeting will be attended by members of the Industrial Council on information technology. Among them such companies as Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung and others.

The head of the Council Dean Garfield shared his thoughts about the planned meeting, noting that the corporations that are members of the Council, see the confidentiality as the fundamental principle for each of them.

This time the meeting is particularly important and requires attention from all members of the Council. In particular, such a character she acquired because of the scandal with Cambridge Analytica and Facebook when the social network sent the British company’s data of several hundreds of thousands of users.

Another topic of discussion will be the recently adopted Europe’s General rules on data protection, the terms of which require technology companies to provide users with tools for loading and removal of your personal information. Many users from USA require the introduction of such laws in their country. And if Apple has decided that it will allow all users to control their data, others will have to convince.
