In 2016, Apple bought the rights to the popular TV show Carpool Karaoke, where participants ride in a car with James Korden and sing popular songs. It was expected that the company will launch a remake of the transfer Apple Music this spring. But the premiere was postponed, in April it became known that the Carpool Karaoke: The Series will be released later, the specific reasons for postponement was called. And today Apple announced that the launch show will be held on 8 August.
In March was held a special event in support of Carpool Karaoke: The Series. At the last moment Apple moved it to April 25, but in the end was again postponed. Without elaborating on the reasons for the delay, the company announced that Carpool Karaoke: The Series will debut in the last month of summer.
In February, senior Vice President of software eddy cue announced the launch of a Carpool for Apple Music Karaoke, showing the first trailer. The show has become a spin-off headings from the transmission of The Late Late Show with James Corden (“Very late show with James Korden”).
James Cordon isn’t the only leading company in this show, he acts as Executive producer and will appear only in one episode. Before Apple bought the rights to this show it was attended by such stars as Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and even first lady Michelle Obama.
Carpool Karaoke: The Series will include 16 episodes, which will be released in the Apple Music once a week for several months. Each will involve different celebrities.
In September last year before the premiere of the iPhone 7 came out video, in which Apple CEO Tim cook and Corden sang a few songs, including the hit 80’s years Sweet Home Alabama the cult band Lynyrd Skynyrd. The question Corden on Cookie voice assistant Siri responded that it was “magnificent” and the blogger himself joked about the numerous leaks before the presentation and advised the CEO to wear green glasses with rhinestones, in order to “look my best”.
At the moment it is known that in recording the Carpool Karaoke: The Series was attended by celebrities such as Seth MacFarlane, will Smith, Chelsea Handler, Billy Eichner, Metallica, Shaquille O’neal, Alicia keys, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Michael Strahan, John Cena and John legend.
