Apple buys developer of intelligent voice control system VocalIQ

Apple has bought UK-based developer of voice recognition technology VocalIQ. About reports the Financial Times, citing sources close to the company.

VocalIQ focuses on the systems of recognition of voice commands in natural language. Apparently, in the future new means of voice control will be integrated with Siri. Over time, the function will adapt to the specific user and his manner of talking. In fact, technology VocalIQ provide an opportunity for dialogue with the mobile device, by giving control commands navigation, multimedia systems and other services.

Last fall VocalIQ in cooperation with General Motors has developed a new voice control system automotive electronics. The project was supervised by the centre of excellence automaker in Israel, whose efforts focused on research in the field of robotics, automotive tools, auto pilot, user interfaces.
