Android found in N the analogue of the function 3D Touch in iOS 9 [video]

The second beta version of Android N for software developers, released last week, allows you to better understand what will be able the next edition of the mobile platform Google. One of the major innovations in the OS will be the 3D analogue of a Touch recognition function of force pressing on the screen.

In the test build for developers have discovered a new feature called “setDynamicShortcuts(List)”. It allows developers to specify a list of “quick actions” that appear when the user interacts with the app icon on the home screen. What should be the interaction (a simple one touch starts the app, as usual), not specified as this may be, for example, a long tap or vertical swipe on the icon.

Google said that the feature actually is intended primarily for devices with screens that recognizes the effect of depression. Apple it’s called 3D Touch displays and when you tap firmly on the icon the list of available applications for quick actions – like shooting selfies for “Camera” or FAV for “Phone”.

Google decided to add native support for the technology due to the growing number of requests from manufacturers of Android smartphones that want to implement this option in their devices. Native support means that developers do not have to find our own ways of its implementation, as did, for example, Huawei and Meizu. Obviously, this functionality won’t be called 3D Touch, as the iPhone 6s.
