Analysts at Strategy Analytics told how things are doing on the global tablet market. Last year, Apple was the market leader. Actually, this year everything remained the same.
According to the agency, a total of 38.2 million units were sold in the third quarter of 2019, which is one and a half million less than the same period last year. Despite this fact, Apple is doing better and better: this year it sold 10.1 million units, which is 4% or 400 thousand more. This allowed Apple to remain in first place with a market share of 24.4%.
However, the testimony is not Apple, but Amazon. The company with its Fire tablet pulled out second place with Samsung, showing an increase of 141%. And the percentage is impressive. Although in numbers, everything does not look so interesting: in the third quarter of 2018, the company sold 2.2 million units, and now – 5.3 million.
Samsung came down in third place. The company sold only 5 million units, although a year earlier this figure was 5.3 million.

Reflections on the new Apple iPad 10.2 (2019)
October 15, 2019
According to Smith, Apple's wholesale sales grew 9%. At the same time, the company's revenue from tablets increased from 4.1 billion to 4.66 billion dollars. The reason, most likely, is the excellent sales of the iPad Pro, which was shown at the end of October 2018, as well as the updated iPad mini and iPad Air 3rd generation.
