The British publication Which?, regularly testing the autonomy of mobile devices and laptops, has conducted a study of the most popular models of portable computers to determine the leader in battery life. The experimenters tested 67 notebook models running the operating system Windows, Mac OS and Chrome OS.
According to the study, the largest time web surfing on a single charge boasts a MacBook Pro laptop – 12 hours. According to the researchers, Apple is the only manufacturer that underestimated the real battery life of the laptop. For most other models, the battery life is 2-3 times lower than claimed. For example, device 510 according to the description should work 5 hours, but lasted in tests only 2 hours and 7 minutes and the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 is 7 hours and worked 3 hours and 58 minutes.

The study once again confirms the fact that what is important is not so much the size of the battery, how much software optimizations. The advantages of macOS and capacious battery Apple devices provide the longest battery life of all modern laptops.
