Adobe two times increased the cost of Creative Cloud in Russia

Users of Photoshop and other popular products for working with photo and video actively criticized Adobe when she moved to a business model with periodic Creative Cloud subscription. However, even if this is a care company, for the sake of profit would suffer.

This week, Adobe sent out to subscribers of the Creative Cloud applications letters with the notice on increase of tariffs for the use of corporate services. On February 9 the company increases the cost of using the package “due to changes in the exchange rate of the ruble.”

Now an annual subscription to the “photography Plan” will cost 644 roubles a month instead of 299 rubles, and subscribe to all Creative Cloud apps will be 3 220 instead of 1500 rubles. The company did not specify the distribution of prices when you pay once a year. For users with a valid subscription cost will not change before expiration.

Creative Cloud is one of the most profitable areas Adobe. In December, the company reported 22% revenue growth. Adobe, which most people know in such applications as Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier, After Effects, widely used by photographers and videographers all over the world in 2016 has received for its software products $5,85 billion (against $4.8 billion in 2015).

In a letter to Russian users Adobe explained that raises tariffs on Creative Cloud as “the Corporation conducts its business around the world” and watching exchange rates “to adjust prices for the products”.

It is noteworthy that the increase in prices for Creative Cloud is on the background of strengthening of the Russian currency. 5 January dollar exchange rate the first time fell below 60 rubles.
