By the end of 2020 Adobe stops supporting Flash. By this time, Flash will finally refuse a large company. Adobe encourages the use of HTML5, WebGL and WebAssembly.
“Given this development and in collaboration with our partners, including Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla, we are going to stop using Flash”, says Adobe. Microsoft said that they will refuse to Flash in the Edge in the second half of 2019, and in 2020 it will be removed from Windows. Apple promises to support Flash for three years. Google refuses to Flash in the coming years.
Adobe Flash has many flaws, including security holes and high energy consumption. Despite this, many companies continue to use Flash in their products, such as Spotify.
Some companies have long refused to support Flash, such as Apple. Since 2010, the computers on macOS by default does not support this technology, and the iPhone and iPad did not initially support Flash. During the presentation of the first iPad Steve jobs criticized Flash, calling the new standards.
