In December 2016 monthly active audience Vkontakte increased to 95 million people. This is stated in the report of the company Mail.Ru Group. It is noted that a new record was reached and the number of mobile social network users – 78 million people per month.
The company added that the number of active users built-in messenger “Vkontakte” on smartphones and desktops is 82 million monthly.
According Mail.Ru Group aggregate segment revenue in 2016 increased by 14.8 % compared to the previous year, amounting to HPP, 42.75 billion. In the last quarter of last year, the company received income in the amount of 13.24 billion, which is 19.2 % more compared to the same period of 2015.
Given the one-time tax expense in the amount of 1.02 billion rubles of net profit Mail.Ru Group in 2016 grew 18.0% compared to the previous year and amounted to 11.61 billion. Excluding this expense profit rose by 28.4 % — to 12.64 billion.
It is noted that in 2016, further growth of social network “Vkontakte”. Its revenue rose by 43.4 % to 8.94 billion rubles.
