We summarize the outgoing week with a selection of interesting news that did not get on the main agenda.
One paragraph news
Apple has updated the HomePod firmware. Now the column works on tvOS
Almost all Apple devices run on updated iOS. Earlier, HomePod worked on iOS with changes, and more recently, the firmware is based on tvOS. There are several guesses why this happened: firstly, companies can work on a “smart” speaker with a built-in set-top box – hello, Yandex.Station. Secondly, this may be due to the fact that iOS 14 will not support A8 chips, and HomePod works on it.
New emoji delayed due to coronavirus
There is such a standard – Unicode, which introduces new emojis that later appear on operating systems. According to the company, the release of new emojis is delayed due to coronavirus: new emoticons, which were supposed to be presented in March 2021, were postponed to September 2021, which means that in iOS 15 you should not wait for new emojis.

Huawei has already shown its credit card, and soon Google will announce! According to TechCrunch, the card can be issued with several banking partners and will not differ much from the Apple card: everything is tied to the application, there are privacy settings and detailed information about transactions.
