ABBYY has announced the update of multi-function mobile business card scanner Business Card Reader for iOS (BCR). It has a system of automatic correction of phone numbers and addresses, and automatically synchronizes with the contacts in your address book iPhone. In addition, ABBYY has become the first business card scanner, available for Apple Watch users.
“No need to get the iPhone to remember the name of your interlocutor. Browse contacts and make calls right from your BCR for the Apple Watch – mate, who is always at hand” – says Artem Kumpel, Vice President, Director of the Department Lingvo and mobile products ABBYY.
System of automatic correction, integrated in BCR, on the fly corrects the phone number, including extension and adds missing address fields (postal code, region, etc.). Users of iOS devices do not have to rule numbers, and symbols by hand to make a call. For example, the number (495) 123_4)5*67 supplemented by the international code and turn into +7 495 123 45 67. And if the card was listed plus, when you call this contact from BCR first you will call the office number and then, instead of dialing to the subscriber, it is enough to press a separate button on the call screen iPhone.
In the updated Business Card Reader for iOS contact management has become more convenient. Thanks to two-way sync, when you save contacts from business cards and BCR, and in the address book of the iPhone, the changes in one place automatically appear in the other store.
In addition to synchronization, in BCR there was a system of automatic backups. Due to this the user always have a backup base cards. Find digitized contacts BCR is now possible directly from the home screen of iPhone using Spotlight search system, a mobile device.
