VSK insurance company has released a mobile app “Avtomatika” with which neat drivers will be able to get a discount on the hull to 25%. The program captures driving behavior of a user by using sensors on mobile devices.
The program analyzes the behavior of the driver. If the owner of the car will show a neat ride, in insurance house VSK he can provide a discount on policies hull.
According to the creators of the app, to cheat the driver will not work. With the built-in smartphone sensors, the application can determine what place sits the driver in the passenger seat or driving. In addition, the program will consider a sharp acceleration and braking, speed enforcement and more than 20 different parameters.
Drivers who observe all traffic rules, can receive up to 25% discount on CASCO and additional insurances (accident insurance, property insurance, etc.).
“Today, VSK is actively introducing modern technology to be closer to the customer. We are pleased to introduce an innovative solution in the comprehensive insurance with the use of gamification, which not only allows to assess driving safety, but also to obtain a more favorable rate, as well as a nice bonus in the form of discounts on other insurance services VSC”, – said Deputy General Director of VSC Alexander Abramenko
According to the developers, the app can be useful for young people with little driving experience, as the cost of their insurance policy is usually valued much higher because of the possible risks.
The other developer of solutions for “smart” auto insurance company Meta System criticizes the use of the smartphone as a source of telematics data.
“The app makes no guarantee that people will not cheat the insurance company”, — says senior Vice-President for development of telematics, Meta System Alexey Shipulin. A unique signature does not guarantee that the signature of a specific person, he believes, is the user can give the phone to another driver, more accurate, or leave it at home.
The app “Automatica” available for iPhone and Android smartphones. Use it can the inhabitants of Moscow and Moscow region, St.-Petersburg, Leningrad, Sverdlovsk and Tyumen regions. The car should not be older than 2012 model year.
