A new MacBook with a scissor-type keyboard will be released in the middle of next year. This was announced in a new report for investors by the reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities.

The analyst expects that the new laptop will be announced at the end of the second quarter or at the beginning of the third quarter of 2020. Perhaps Apple will introduce it in June at the annual WWDC 2020 Worldwide Developers Conference or limit it to a July press release. The analyst noted that the Taiwanese maker Wistron will be the main supplier of scissor keyboards for the new MacBooks.
It is unclear whether this means a delay in the release of the long-awaited 16-inch MacBook Pro with a scissor keyboard or not, because earlier Min-Chi Kuo said that its launch will take place in the fourth quarter of 2019. It was hoped that Apple would announce it this week, but it did not materialize.
By the way, earlier, Min-Chi Kuo said that Apple will transfer all its laptops, including all models of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, to the scissor keyboard. The latest MacBook Pro with a keyboard with a scissor mechanism was released in 2015, after which Apple switched to a keyboard with a butterfly system, which caused the company a lot of problems.
