5G mobile communications will appear in Russian cities by 2020. About this report “Izvestia” with reference to the draft programme prepared by the Ministry of communications.
In 2020, the 5G technology will have to earn in eight Russian cities, and in 2025 — fifteen. The 5G network allows to exchange data at speeds above 10 gigabits per second – 30 times more than in working today for 4G networks. So, a feature film in HD quality downloads in just a few seconds

“While the technology is not standardized, however, the operators are already preparing for its implementation”, — said the official representative of the company “Beeline” Anna Imasheva.
It should be noted that MTS together with Ericsson have already started testing 5G for standardization. On the development of 5G networks in Russia agreed Tele2 and Nokia.
According to the Director of project activities IRI Arseniy Salicina, the introduction of technology will help to make a qualitative step forward of the entire digital economy.
“5G is the most important step in the development of new markets in the digital economy, which will allow us to transfer Gigabyte data telemedicine in real time, to create more advanced autopilots for transport, better urban information flows, and more”, — concluded Weltzin.
The communications Ministry refused to comment on the projected statements.
