Xiaomi company plans to release to market a new “frameless” smartphone Mix Mi 2 and Mi Mix 2 Lite, the distinguishing feature of which will be more compact screen and affordable price. Reported by Gizchina, citing informed sources.
Mi Mix is considered to be one of the first popular smartphones with a screen “edge to edge”. The second model will inherit this feature of the series. It is reported that the model Mi Mix 2 Lite will have a simple technical stuffing and is, therefore, a very high price.
According to sources, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Lite in terms of characteristics and prices will be similar to the representative of the popular series of smartphones Redmi. The display unit will occupy 91,3% of the area of the front panel.
If the rumors prove true, the device will get the Snapdragon 835, up to 8 GB of RAM and will run on the Android operating system 7.1.1 with a proprietary shell MIUI 9.
Diagonal display Mi Mix 2 Lite is still unknown. The release date and price “frameless” news sources do not lead, but, according to preliminary data, the device will debut in the second half of the year.
