Why iPhone 2017 will be made of “liquid metal”

It is believed that the next generation iPhone will be similar in design to the iPhone 6s. The phone is equipped with a camera with two lenses, updated plastic inserts for the antenna and lose audio connection. But next year the iPhone will get the most radical design changes in the history of the Apple smartphone. It is about the body of molten metal. As it became known, Apple is preparing this innovation on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the iPhone.

In a recent note, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the smartphone, which will be released after the iPhone 7 next year will be very different from its predecessors the material of the body. The expert, often publishes trustworthy information, confirms the coming failure of Apple’s use of aluminum body in favor of all-glass housing.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, next year the metal housing will not be something unique. Many low-end models from various manufacturers today have the housings made of aluminium alloys, so Apple is working on a radical innovation.

Network sources believe that the information Ming-Chi Kuo about the glass body in iPhone future is not quite true. A return to the old and fragile structures extremely unlikely. Error of the analyst concludes that he’s talking about Gorilla Glass, but actually we are talking about Liquid Metal that is “liquid metal”.

No doubt Liquid Metal will dramatically change the design of mobile devices. Just imagine that your iPhone is almost impossible to damage, but in case he doesn’t have the plastic strips to receive the signal. Properties of liquid metal delight industrial designers. Not surprisingly, Apple won exclusive rights to use this material in electronics, including smartphones, computers and smart watches.

Quite possibly, this is the most difficult task of all, faced by the company. However, in Cupertino are determined to use Liquid Metal in their products, so every two years renewing his contract with Liquidmetal Technologies.

Long Apple is testing new technologies before implementing them in their devices. If the company plans to create a case for iPhone with the use of Liquid Metal, so development should have been dealt with long ago. And indeed it is. Portfolio Apple has a patent on Liquid Metal is dated 2008.
