WhatsApp will be able to send files of any type, the only limitation is their size

Soon WhatsApp users will be able to share any files. This was announced by the owners of the Twitter account Wabetainfo testing a new build of the application.

The new version of the world’s most popular messenger will get the opportunity to exchange any files. After the introduction of this feature, users will be able to send any content to contacts or groups.

Unfortunately, the creators of WhatsApp have decided to limit the maximum file upload size: 128 MB for iPhone owners, 100 MB for users of Android smartphones, and 64 MB for the web version. Probably, the service has taken such a step so that users do not have overloaded servers “heavy” video in 4K.

Now WhatsApp allows users to send files just of several kinds, particularly documents in formats Word, PDF and slides.

This feature is reportedly already testing the developers of WhatsApp. Currently it is available in the beta version of the app to specific user groups.
