WhatsApp is testing the pinning feature chat rooms, photo albums and deleting sent messages

The developers of the popular app for messaging WhatsApp was experimenting with a new pinning feature chat rooms, which, being available to all users, will allow to fix up to three contacts at the top of the list of dialogues.

According to the resource Android police, the feature was first spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp. Other features in the test build for iOS include the albums, the ability to delete a message after sending, the stream location in real-time to friends and family, and several others.

The Albums feature WhatsApp is still at an early stage of development. The point is that users will be able to create your own selection of photos to share with individuals or groups. As in the case of messages, the albums use end-to-end encryption.

According to blogger WABetaInfo, the function of deleting already sent messages could come in the next stable version of WhatsApp. Currently work is also underway on a full-fledged support for extended notifications.

Recent updates of the popular messenger brought some improvements, in particular the opportunity to voice the last message using Siri, text statuses, two-step authentication, sending messages offline, and support for animated images.

Android users can join the test WhatsApp through Google Play, in iOS, you’ll need an iPhone with installed jailbreak.
