WhatsApp after customer complaints decided to return text statuses

The WhatsApp messenger has decided to return to text statuses. The company representatives said that next week the classic feature will appear in the Android users, after which it will be available on iOS.

In February of this year, WhatsApp was removed from the app text statuses and replaced them with new ones. Users had the opportunity to tell friends about what they’re doing with photos that automatically disappear after 24 hours. Many experts have called this option “a toy for young people.”

However, recently in a beta version WhatsApp old feature came back. A company representative said that in the coming weeks, text statuses will once again be available to all users of messenger. Messages will be able to see other users when you view someone else’s contacts can be added via the profile settings.

“We found that users were missing the classic status, so I decided to integrate this option in the appropriate section in the settings,” the company said.

Now the update will appear next to the name of the profile every time a user views a contact — for example, when you create a new chat or view information about the group.

New status for WhatsApp were not accepted by the people as warm, as was the case with Snapchat and other services, copied the function. The company’s decision to return text statuses suggests that the developers quickly respond to feedback from users.
