What headphones will come with the iPhone 7? Wireless AirPods? Lightning EarPods? Beats?

Rumors that the iPhone 7 could lose a headphone Jack enhanced with each post a new render, drawing or a “spy” photos of the future flagship. Instead of the traditional sockets are supposed to be encouraged to use the universal Lightning port or Bluetooth interface. In this regard, the question arises: what will happen with the bundled headphones for the new iPhone?

Lightning EarPods

The most likely scenario sees the emergence of new earbuds EarPods with a Lightning connector instead of the traditional 3.5-mm minijack. Several similar models are already present in the market. The most interesting of them are the JBL Reflect Aware.

When you connect them to iPhone, we offer special app for the JBL setup and the sound characteristics of the equalizer. If Apple plans to equip the iPhone 7 headphones EarPods with Lightning, iOS 10, we can obtain a separate application to configure native and third-party headphones with a digital interface.

Earlier in mass media there was information about a new noise reduction technology in the iPhone 7. According to rumors, Apple is planning to use the technology Wolfson Microelectronics, which may be one of the requirements of third-party certification of the system in the MFI. It is possible that the noise reduction will be present in the more expensive version of the EarPods, which will be sold separately.

In March, the Network appeared the image of regular headphones EarPods with Lightning connector.

Wireless EarPods

The second possible scenario is the appearance in the package 7 iPhone wireless headphones EarPods. They may be analogous to the PowerBeats 2 or the JayBirds: connect as needed via Bluetooth or Lightning.

But one should not exclude the debut of a fully wireless models that do not have wired connections even between the left and right earphone. Previously, Apple has registered the trademark “AirPods”, clearly hinting at a wireless version of the EarPods.

It’s worth noting that these headphones can seriously increase the cost of the iPhone or not become popular due to high cost. The first truly wireless earbuds Bragi Dash, shown in the following illustration, cost $299 and are not devoid of all kinds of technical problems. The lack of a decent model of fully wireless headphones on the market could affect the Apple’s decision to abandon the idea or use the usual Bluetooth option.

Without headphones? The adapters?

Worst case scenario – no headphones supplied with the iPhone 7, or the appearance of Lightning adapter with 3.5 mm connector. But this is most unlikely developments.

Apparently, the rejection of the audio Jack in the iPhone is inevitable. Users can obtain new solutions from the a lot of advantages, the most important of which is to improve the sound quality. But the rejection of classic audio interface is associated with a number of disadvantages: users will not be able to use old headphones with new Apple gadgets, or new headphones with older devices without special adapters.

And what headphones would you like to see included with the iPhone 7?
