Apple APR will open a new headquarters Apple Park, the construction of which was conducted over the last four years. New “spaceship” campus, the company will occupy an area of 260 000 sq. m. According to the company, to the displacement of over 12,000 sotrudnki will take more than six months.
An ambitious plan to create a new headquarters in the form of a ring voiced by the founder of Apple Steve jobs in June 2011, four months before his death. In 2013 started the construction of the campus in the form of a spaceship.
Apple Park is located in the center of the valley Santa Clara, California near the present office of the manufacturer of the iPhone. The architectural project was developed in collaboration with the design firm Foster + Partners. Its main attraction — the main, four-story ring-shaped building, made of curved glass, concrete and steel.
Also on site are fitness centre, cafe, underground Parking, various laboratories, closed areas for research and development, corporate audience of a thousand people, named after the founder of the “Theatre of a name of Steve jobs”.
Apple Park will work fully on renewable energy sources, being one of the largest net sites in the region. The advanced ventilation system of the building will enable to maintain the desired temperature and not to heat it within nine months of the year.
