The decree of the President Poroshenko on banning Russian social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”, released may 16, will come into force no later than 1 June. Thus, users have two weeks to remove their pages.
In summer the people of Ukraine will come without access to Russian social network and Yandex. According to Ukrainian legislation, the decree of the leader of the country must be within 15 days published in the newsletter “Official messenger of the President of Ukraine”, and then will immediately take effect.
In the summer the people of Ukraine will not be able to use neither “Vkontakte” or “Classmates” or search engine “Yandex” and other services that belong to Russian companies. All of these resources will remain for Ukrainians banned.
According to the decision of the Council, to ensure, as a responsible Internet service providers block access to the Russian services should the government and law enforcement.
Meanwhile, the “Vkontakte” sent by the Ukrainian users instructions on how to access the service, in case of its blocking by providers. According to him, the lock can be bypassed on the PC and mobile phone, in several ways.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision of national security Council and defense of Ukraine on sanctions against social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”, “Mail.ru”, “Yandex” and their services. Access to all services of “Yandex” and Mail.ru banned for three years.
