The start of sales Apple will build only 500 thousand HomePod

In December of this year Apple will release a device to control “smart home” HomePod. According to the partners of the company, the release will be collected only 500 thousand consoles.

This was stated by David Ho (David Ho) — the President of the Taiwanese company Inventec Appliances, which collects HomePod. According to him, the manufacturer has received an order from Apple.

“We’re finally going to start sending the devices “smart” home this year, but their number will be very limited. I hope the order will increase next year,” said Ho.

Confirming the words Ho on a limited number of HomePod, Fubon Securities analyst Arthur Liao (Arthur Liao) stated that Apple will not collect more than half a million devices, and will receive from their sales of less than 1% of the total profit. According to Liao, the situation will change for the better next year when Apple will split the orders for the HomePod, between Inventec and Foxconn.

We will remind that in December, Apple expects to provide HomePod initially only in the markets of USA, UK and Australia. In other countries, the novelty will appear not earlier than 2018.
