The Service “Yandex.Taxi” stopped work in the Crimea

Service online-ordering “Yandex.Taxi” cease operations in Crimea and Sevastopol, local media reported. On the Peninsula it has worked only for six months.

“The service is constantly expanding its geography and in this context, testing services in many cities and regions. Including the testing conducted in the Crimea. At the moment it is completed”, — explained in “Yandex.Taxi”. To resume work on the Peninsula has no plans.

“Yandex.Taxi” worked about five months in the largest cities of the Crimea: Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta, Alushta, Yalta, Feodosiya, the pike perch and the seaside.

The notes citing the opinion of the Crimean users in social networks, suggested that the reason for leaving the company could be sanctions. The parent company “Yandex” is the Dutch Yandex N. V. Shares are traded on NASDAQ. The company has not yet commented on this information.
