The output of the edge-to-edge iPad from 10.5-inch screen postponed until may or June

Digitimes, a publication known for reliable insights, announced new data about the Apple products that will be announced at a special press conference in March of this year.

The main star of the presentation should be some new iPad models. In particular, it is known about the preparation of the iPad Pro 2 with displays a diagonal of 12.9 and 9.7 inches, as well as radically updated iPad with a display diagonal of 10.5 inches. As reported by Taiwanese resource DigiTimes, citing sources in the supply chain, older models with a diagonal of 10.5 and 12.9 inches will not go on sale until may or June 2017. The updated 9.7-inch iPad will become available for purchase soon after the announcement.

Initially it was assumed that the new iPad will go on sale in late March, and in may the market will be the iPad Pro with a display diagonal of 10.5 inches.

In the beginning of the year, the Network appeared information about the fact that Apple may delay the announcement of the new iPad until the second half of 2017. It is expected the 10.5-inch iPad will replace the existing 9.7-inch iPad, and the last will be the “budget” version, focused on the education sector.

According to available information, the 10.5-inch iPad will get a display “edge to edge”, and in size it would be comparable to the existing 9.7 inch iPad Pro. The thickness of the model will be slightly larger at 7.5 mm, as the first iPad Air, whereas the current iPad Pro has a 9.7″ has a thickness of 6.1 mm.

Note that in addition to the new iPad at a press conference Apple is expected to offer users the iPhone version SE with 128 GB of flash memory. Currently available are only versions for 16 and 64 GB. In addition, network sources say about red models of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, as well as new straps for the Apple Watch.
