Market trends show no signs of slowing down. Every day the number of active social media users increased by one million.
According to the latest Statshot report from We Are Social and Hootsuite published on The Next Web, the number of active social networking users exceeded 3 billion.
The largest social network today is Facebook. It has over 2 billion active users, 87% of whom use mobile devices, and 59% open Facebook every day.
Steady growth shows YouTube. The platform has 1.5 billion active users, which allows it to take second place. Afterwards settled down WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and WeChat.
VKontakte is almost at the end of the list with 81 million active users per month. The report noted that the rate was strongly influenced by the recent lock in the Ukraine. 60% of Ukrainian users switched to Facebook.
