The new line of MacBooks will improve the position of Apple in the notebook market

In the second quarter, TrendForce analysts expect more than 10% increase in supply of Apple laptops compared to the previous quarter. The upgrade will provide a new 12-inch MacBook that the company is preparing to release. It is also expected that as a special promotion Apple can reduce the cost of laptops of the previous generation.

At the upcoming annual conference for developers WWDC 2017, which will be held in early June in San Jose, Apple may provide updated versions of the laptops. This was reported Bloomberg, citing close to the company sources. In Cupertino are preparing three new laptop models: MacBook Pro Intel Kaby Lake, updated 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Air with the new processor.

The updates will affect only the hardware part of the laptop — their appearance will remain the same. That is, significant changes can be expected. MacBook and MacBook Air no doubt in need of update, given the fact that the last time they received the update in 2016 and 2015, respectively.

Sources say that Apple has decided to refresh the MacBook series of laptops in connection with the decline in iPad sales, and the emergence of serious competitors such as Microsoft’s Surface Laptop.

In the first quarter of 2017, Apple took fifth place in sales of laptops. Experts noted the success of the latest version of the MacBook Pro touch pad Touch Bar, which was introduced in October of last year. Largely due to this model in January-March, Apple has shipped 3.4 million for the MacBook, 15.4% more than the year before.
