Team messenger ICQ figured out how to use the app for iPhone and Android smartphones: which is not good for ICQ, what Wallpaper and stickers prefer, how often you call on video. Differences between iOS and Android users was more than the similarities.
The most popular iOS smartphone among users of ICQ was the iPhone 5s. On the second and the third position is the iPhone 4s and iPhone 6. ICQ users on Android were fans of Samsung smartphones Galaxy line, most often they use a Samsung Galaxy S3, the second place is the Samsung Galaxy S4. Three closes Motorola Moto G XT1033 Claro Dual.
In the choice of stickers owners of iOS and Android devices in solidarity: the most popular stickers on romantic themes. With iOS devices often send a sticker with a kiss, while Android users prefer bouquets.
As in one “camp”, and in another the default Wallpaper leave a few percent of users: it talks about the importance of visual design messenger. But the sources for new Wallpapers are markedly different. Android users were more “Mavericks” — they are more likely to choose a new background from your own photo gallery than owners of iPhone and iPad (16% vs. 2%). Others use the library backgrounds that offers ICQ.
To make calls with Android and iOS users also have a different approach. Owners of iOS devices with approximately equal frequency call for voice and video (52% and 48%, respectively). In turn, Android users, 62 percent prefer to see the interlocutor; to voice calls, they also use significantly less likely (38%).
Most of the calls on ICQ is done through Wi-Fi. Android users are slightly more likely than iOS users (28% vs. 23%) calling via 3G. But the owners of smartphones with iOS more than recoup through LTE: they are three times more likely to use to communicate the new generation network.
