The developers have demonstrated the impressive potential of augmented reality in iOS 11 [video]

In recent years, Apple has invested heavily in the development of augmented reality, absorbing companies like PrimeSense, FaceShift and Metaio. It is expected that the iPhone 8 will be the 3D camera, which will extend the capabilities of the technology.

The ARKit framework is part of iOS 11, the release is scheduled for September of this year. Games and applications created using the technology will appear in the App Store in the fall.
