The Bank “Opening” plans to launch its own virtual operator in the second half of 2017. This is reported by “Vedomosti” with reference to the representative of the Bank. Now ready pilot project.
It is not known which networks will work the operator. The Bank’s partner is the operator “Countrycom”, that uses for its virtual network operator VimpelCom. “Countrycom” from 2000 years engaged in the promotion of mobile services in cooperation with the “MegaFon” and “VimpelCom” brand “ALLO incognito”. After completion of the pilot project will be used to determine which networks will work with the commercial version of the operator. Representatives of “VimpelCom” and “MegaFon” said that their companies do not participate in the project of the Bank “Opening”.
Information on tariffs will fall, however, it is already known that clients “Open” part of the services will be free. Thus, the Bank intends to increase long-term customer loyalty by enabling unique service options in banking product.
Previously “Vkontakte” has launched its virtual mobile operator under the brand name VK Mobile. It is also known that “Tinkoff Bank” and the music label Black Star are working to create their own virtual mobile operators.
