Tele2 launched in Moscow the service of voice over LTE (VoLTE). However, it works only on smartphones Tele2 Tele2 LTE Midi and Maxi LTE. A list of devices that support the technology will be expanded.
VoLTE technology allows you to transmit voice calls over 4G (LTE), which guarantees users several advantages: fast connection and high voice quality (HD Voice). Innovation also saves the battery life and continuous connectivity to 4G, so that the customer can talk on the phone without interrupting the Internet session.
All these advantages result from the fact that the phone is with activated VoLTE when you call does not switch to the 3G network and the voice transmission is carried out directly in the LTE network.

The service is available on all tariff plans. Billing of calls in a VoLTE is no different from the ordinary calls on the Tele2 tariffs. The use of technology does not result in additional payments to subscribers.

Last week MegaFon launched VoLTE for iPhone users. The VoLTE connection from “MegaFon” is free and available on all tariffs. The service is activated automatically after updating iPhone to iOS 10.3.1 and the inclusion of LTE in the operating system settings (“Settings – Cellular – data-Settings”).
