Streaming service increases paid subscribers and is preparing for a public offering of shares, according to Variety.
Recently the company has updated the facts page for the press: by the end of July, Spotify has accumulated 140 million listeners, of which 60 million have issued a paid subscription.
Over the past five months willing to pay for music, the Swedish company was 10 million more. Audience Apple Music grows more slowly: from Re:Code told about 27 million paid subscribers in June 2017 (plus 7 million for the six months).
As a reminder, Spotify operates in 60 countries around the world (although still not reached Russia), and plans to list on the new York stock exchange before the end of the year.
