Skype now supports quick answers iOS 9 and a multiwindow mode on iPad

Microsoft has released a new version of Skype for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. In the update index 6.3 the developers have added native support for iOS 9, including the ability to respond to notifications without opening the Skype application window. Download the updated client right now in the Updates section in the App Store.

Last year’s iOS 8 introduces quick replies Quick Reply. However, until now it worked only for the standard application iMessage, allowing you to respond to messages via the notification banner. In iOS 9, this functionality works at the system level, so it can be used by the developers themselves messengers.

Updated Skype for iPhone lets you reply to messages right from the home screen of the device without logging into the application. Another feature that is only available on devices with iOS 9, is associated with Spotlight. Updated client makes it possible to chat with contacts directly from the system search iOS. IPad users, in turn, can use messenger in split screen (Split View).
